The holiday season abounds with giving and sharing. It’s a wonderful thing. But why does that sense of community seem to fade after the holiday season? How can we promote positive action all year long?

We’re excited to introduce the #struttacares initiative. Strutta is a Facebook Preferred Marketing Developer company with a platform for social media marketing and promotions that is used by the likes of Disney, Comcast, Land Rover, WWF and thousands of companies worldwide. Through #struttacares, innovative non-profits will gain free access Strutta’s apps and tools to run social promotions that build awareness, grow stronger communities and drive positive change.

To kick off #struttacares, we’re holding a 100 Vote Challenge for non-profits to join the initiative. All organizations that gather over 100 votes from December 17 to December 31 will gain free access to Strutta’s Facebook Apps (Welcome Page, Twitter and YouTube Apps, Media Galleries, Voting Polls, etc) to build, grow and motivate their communities in 2013. They will also gain access to more free social media marketing tools and resources throughout the year.

So tell us which bold and brave nonprofits, charities and foundations you support so we can help them get social and do good in 2013! We’re accepting nominations until December 16.

There are three ways to nominate an organization:

Option 1 - Tweet “Hey @strutta I want @organization to take the #struttacares 100 vote challenge! strutta.me/l/135k7”

Option 2 - Post on Strutta’s Facebook Wall “I nominate @organization to take the #struttacares 100 Vote Challenge!”

Option 3 - Fill out the nomination form.

Visit our Facebook Page to nominate your favorite non-profit before December 16th. Come back between December 17 to 31 learn about participating #struttacares organizations and to vote for your favorite non-profits!
