May 5, 2011 marked a pretty exciting day for the Strutta team!

BCIC Town Hall

Our Chairman and current British Columbia Innovation Council (BCIC) CEO, Danny Robinson, lead the first ever BCIC Town Hall meeting.

Danny made clear BCIC’s mission, strategies and guiding principles and opened the floor to questions from the live and online audiences. A great initiative in the name of transparency is the VOTE site. All future funding decisions will be made only after an idea has been sufficiently aired in front of the community on the VOTE site.

It’s impossible to deny Danny’s passion for entrepreneurship and vision to grow BC’s start-up ecosystem into the top technology hub in North America. As Danny and the dedicated team at BCIC work to educate, inspire and engage the population, there’s no doubt that BC’s tech scene will soon see increased success and get the recognition and it so much deserves!

We love to call Vancouver, BC home. We’re proud to share a city with tons of talented individuals (such as David Ascher of Mozilla and Mack Flavelle of Compass Engine who were in attendance yesterday) and world-class organizations (such as EA Sports) and look forward to do our part and contribute to the booming community!
